No matter where you live in the world, no matter if your diet is Carnivore, Omnivore, Vegetarian or Vegan, one thing that has been known for thousands of years is that a couple of herbs and spices can liven any dish up. In fact wars have been fought over them. Here I am going to outline some of my basic pallet of mixes that I always have in the cupboard
Classic SPGO
- 1 TBSP Salt
- 1 TBSP Black Pepper
- 1 TBSP* Garlic Powder
- 1/2 TBSP Onion Powder
Take all the ingredients, put them in a glass jar, shake, and use as required. Personally, I make up batches of 6 tbsps. Garlic Powder, if you like garlic keep at my measurements, but if you are not a fan half the quantity.
Remember that with everything your coat with this, all sides need to be covered equally.
Rosemary and Lime
- 1 TBSP Classic SPGO
- 1/2 TBSP Fresh Rosemary
- 1 1/2 TBSP fresh lime
Take all ingredients, put them in a glass jar, and shake. Make as much as you need for one meal. do not store!
Paprika Salt
- 2 TBSP of salt (your choice, table salt, course salt etc)
- 1 TBSP of either smoked or sweet Paprika
- 1/2 TSP of Garlic Powder
- 1/2 TSP of Onion Powder
- Take all ingredients, place them in a glass jar and shake. Make as much as you need, Store in a sealed container.
